ABOUT US
The Inspiration behind Clip-on Pro™: In 2004, Tony Levitan founded Clip-on Pro™ after experiencing a revelation on the golf course and then discovering that his relationship with golf is pretty darn similar to 25 million of the U.S. golfing community.
Answer the Calling: A seasoned entrepreneur, Tony began to golf in earnest after exiting his prior start-up, Internet pioneer, Egreetings Network. After six years of building a Top 20 web company, a higher calling beckoned … learning to play golf!
Lessons, trips to golf schools, and numerous rounds later, golf was fun and challenging. Truth be told though, on some fronts, it was a bit too challenging.

Key Observation: We learn to play golf on a nice flat place called the driving range. But then we play on golf courses which, as we all know, are anything but flat.
Courses have hills, dales, hollows, canyons, troughs, and hardpan. They have stuff that gets in your way like trees and bunkers and lakes and iceplant and streams and bushes and heather and brush and cacti and cart paths and boulders and woodchips. No, golf courses are nothing like that lovely patch of grass of flat plastic in the driving range bay.
Which is why golf is hard.
Revelation Time: Tony's personal bug-a-boo was uneven lies. He knew set-up adjustments were necessary, but didn't play frequently enough to recall just which ones applied to which uneven lie. So one day he attached a little bullet-point reminder card to the towel ring of his bag. Low and behold, over the next couple months he hit more high-quality uneven lie shots than during all his prior outings combined.
The glowing light bulb over his head illuminated what we now call the On-course Coaching segment of the golf market, of which Clip-on Pro™ is the first high-quality, golfer-first, simple-to-use product.
Adding a Top-notch Instructor: Tony knew Tim Mahoney as an exceptional instructor, having enjoyed both golf school and private instruction from him. Tim has been teaching in the national and international arena for over 22 years. With a teaching philosophy honed as he taught along side some of the greatest teachers in the game including-Chuck Cook; Jim Flick; Hank Johnson, Peter Kostis; Davis Love, Jr.; Paul Runyan and Bob Toski-Tim's commitment to the improvement of his students, both professional tour players and amateurs of all levels, is unflagging. Which is why we asked Tim to provide the illustrative and descriptive on-course coaching guidance found in the Clip-on Pro™ shot guides.
